A lovely champagne
Refreshingly fruiyt! This is a lovely champagne, strong strawberry and fruit taste and a beautiful very appealing salmon colour.
Annie Macy, 23-10-2009
Pink with coppery tints. Subtle aromas of small red fruits with a dominant flavour of blackcurrant. Gentle start evolving towards red fruits. Lingering in the mouth refreshed by the fruitiness of the varieties.A clean, very fine wine, ideal as an aperitif or to accompany a fillet of grilled sea trout, a leg of lamb with rosemary, or a light dessert such as a gratin of red fruit.
Maison Mercier was founded by Eugéne Mercier in 1858 at the age of 20. He had an ambitious goal of bringing high-quality champagne to the general public.
When he died in 1904 he had achieved his life's ambition. Mercier was already one of the leading traders in the Champagne region and his son-in-law and sons were ready to take up the reins with justifiable pride.
In 1970 Maison Mercier merged with Moet & Chandon, and then, in 1987, joined the LVMH group - France's leading luxury goods specialist.
